What an AI Code Jam is really for

The best part of an AI Code Jam is not necessarily the code.
It is the conversations that happen around it.
I had a great time at the recent THAT AI Code Jam: catching up with smart people, comparing notes on what everyone is building, and getting a rare block of uninterrupted time to hack on one of my own projects.
Events like this are a useful reminder that progress in AI does not happen only through polished demos or big announcements. It also happens when builders share what they are trying, where they are stuck, and the strange little experiments that might turn into something real.
Huge thanks to Ross Larson ↗ and everyone who helped make the day happen. The community, practical knowledge-sharing, and show-and-tell energy were excellent.
More of this, please.
